Current Projects

Currently, we are completing a pilot mortality inventory on the Helena National Forest on recently installed FIA grid intensification plots. Also, this year, we will be successfully completing the initial installation of FIA grid intensification plots on the Lewis and Clark National Forest.

Staff at IRI, INC. has been measuring Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) plots for over15 years with great success. Now we are continuing the inventory by re-measuring the same sample sites every 5 to 10 years. We have been a big part of the FIA program in Region 5, and have collected data on thousands of sample locations.
